8/16/22 – This is a nice example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Kriegsmarine in 1936. It is all matching (except for the rear toggle pin), has the proper “Eagle 63” military proofs, and has an “N 1487” Navy property marking on the front strap. It comes as a rig with a rare and minty 1939-dated and Navy-marked holster, an “Eagle 63” luger tool, and a Navy-marked but mismatched magazine. The gun itself has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. There are areas of wear on the side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle. A couple of dings on the side plate. A few small dots of discoloration on the right side of the gun. Minor thinning and brown patina on the grip straps. Comes with very nice un-numbered wood grips. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with minor pitting throughout.
