4/17/23 – This is a very nice example of an S/42 code Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1936. It is all matching (except for the rear toggle pin) and has the proper “Eagle 63” military acceptance proofs. It has retained about 96% of its original finish with very minor wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the front edges of the side rails. Although there is very little actual finish loss, there is spotty oxidation on both grip straps. Some dark discoloration along the right side of the barrel, and some light discoloration at the front right of the frame. Excellent un-numbered wood grips. Comes with a mismatched “Eagle 63” marked magazine. Very nice bore with great rifling – just some very minor frosting in the grooves.
