12/19/22 – This is an excellent example of a Springfield M1903 rifle. As the included, signed letter from Charles Pate certifies, this an official Springfield M1903 Sporter sold through the DCM sales program in 1926. One of only 800. It has retained nearly all of its bluing with just some hints of wear on the high edges and a few light handling marks here and there. Some spots of dark discoloration along the barrel. Fitted with a really nice Lyman adjustable rear sight. Excellent wood stock with only very minor handling marks here and there. The bore has great rifling with some areas of minor pin-pricking here throughout.
