1/27/22 – This is an excellent example of a DWM Luger sold in the commercial market in the 1920’s. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Crown N” commercial proofs. It has retained about 98% of its bluing. There are just hints of wear on some of the high edges and around the muzzle. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are areas of noticeable spotty oxidation on the straw small parts, around the muzzle, right side of the barrel, on the grip straps, and at the back of the right side of the frame. There is tiny pin-pricking around the high edges of the side plate, right side of the barrel, and edges of the chamber. The gun comes with a post-war holster and an un-numbered wood-bottom magazine. Slightly worn un-numbered wood grips – there is a chip in the top corner of the left panel. The bore is excellent with strong rifling.
