5/12/22 – This is a very nice example of a DWM Luger sold in the commercial market in the 1920’s. It is all matching and has the proper “Crown N” commercial proofs. There are hints of wear on the side plate and side rails, but the majority of the wear is on the the barrel, where there are also tiny dots of oxidation. The condition of the barrel does not match the rest of the gun, but it is matching and original. Our best guess is that the metal prep was not as good on this part. Comes with minty un-numbered wood grips. The left panel is marked “S/42”, denoting an armorer’s replacement. The left panel is a little loose. Also comes with a mismatched aluminum bottom magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor frosting throughout.
