1/6/22 – This is a nice example of a DWM Luger sold in the commercial market in the 1920’s. Chambered in .30 Luger. It is all matching and has the proper “Crown N” commercial proofs. The gun has retained roughly 60% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the grip straps, but there are areas of significant wear on the side plate, high edges in general, on the barrel, and around the muzzle. There is spotty oxidation and pin-pricking on the side plate and spotty brown patina on the grip straps. Comes with worn wood grips – a few hairline cracks on the right side. Also comes with a period-correct magazine, but the wood bottom has been re-shaped. The bore has decent rifling with pin-pricking in the grooves.
