6/14/21 – This is a Steyr Model 1912 with an interesting history. It was initially issued to the Austrian military during WW1, in 1918. This is evidenced by the Austrian military proof on the right side of the trigger guard. It was then rechambered in 9mm (evidenced by the “08” marking on the slide), and eventually issued to the Nazi police force during WW2. It is all matching and has the proper Nazi-era “Eagle N” and police “Eagle L” proofs. It has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. Most of the wear is on the front strap. There are areas of noticeable pitting and oxidation throughout, most noticeable on the left side of the slide, right side of the frame, and backstrap. Nice wood grips. Excellent bore – shiny with strong rifling.
