7/28/23 – This is a military Erfurt Luger rig from 1918. All numbered parts on the pistol match, including the original grips. The toggle pin is unnumbered and the firing pin has the imperial marking but no serial number. The magazine has a blank wood bottom with chip in it. The original bluing on the pistol rates at around 85%, with most of the wear on the barrel and sideplate. Excellent bore. Grips show handling wear but no cracks or chips. The listing includes an interesting tool with markings we do not recognize, but there wouldn’t be much reason to fake outright. Comes with an original WW1 era holster that is in decent shape but has a cut in the mag pouch. NOTE: This magazine doesn’t keep the toggle open but the hold open functions correctly with other mags.
