6/23/22 – This is a nice example of an Erfurt Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1918. It is all matching and has the proper Imperial and Erfurt proofs throughout. It has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. Areas of wear on the front strap, side plate, side rails, on the chamber, on the toggle, around the muzzle and along the right side of the barrel. Areas of spotty oxidation and brown patina throughout. Some areas with tiny pits here and there. Comes with nice period-correct matching-numbered grips and a mismatched wood-bottom magazine. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with spotty oxidation throughout.
