11/4/22 – This is a nice example of a DWM Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1918. It is all matching (except for the rear toggle pin, which is un-numbered) and has the proper Imperial German proofs. The outer lip of the rear toggle pin is worn, but it works just fine. The gun comes as a rig with one original matching-numbered magazine, a fairly worn 1916-dated holster, and a post-war tool. The gun itself has retained about 94-95% of its original bluing with areas of minor wear on the side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle. Very minor thinning on along the barrel. While there is not much actual finish loss, there are areas of pin-pricking throughout, freckling on the grip straps, and some tiny pits on the side plate and side rails. Comes with nice wood grips – the left is un-numbered, the right is numbered and mismatched. The bore has poor rifling with pitting throughout.
