3/24/22 – This is an excellent example of a DWM Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1918. The gun is all matching (except for the rear toggle pin) and has the proper Imperial military proofs. There is a crossed-out Infantry Regimental marking on the front strap. There is a “1920” government property marking on the chamber, indicating it was reworked and remained in government service after WW1. It has retained about 98% of its finish. There is very minor wear on the side plate, very front edges of the side rails, and around the muzzle. Some light streaky wear on the front strap. Comes with excellent wood grips – the right panel is un-marked, and the left panel is marked “S42” – WW2 armorer’s replacement. Also comes with a mismatched police arsenal-numbered magazine. The bore has good rifling with very minor pin-pricking throughout.
