7/11/23 – This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1911 that was originally manufactured in 1918 and issued to the US military during WW1. As evidenced by the “AA” Augusta Arsenal marking on the left side of the frame, it was arsenal re-worked for use during WW2. The entire gun has been parkerized. WW2-era High Standard barrel. Also comes fitted with an excellent set of WW2-era reddish-brown plastic grips. There is almost no actual finish loss, but there is a series of tiny dings on the front strap. Near-mint bore. Comes with a parkerized magazine.
