3/18/24 – This is an excellent example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. The included factory letter states that it was shipped to the US Government on September 3, 1918, along with 5,000 other guns. Un-marked barrel. The gun has been completely refinished and shows virtually no finish loss. There are a few tiny pits under the finish here and there. Fitted with excellent post-war reddish wood grips and comes with a period-correct two-tone magazine. The bore has good rifling with pin-pricking throughout.
