7/25/23 – This is an original WW1 era pair of British binoculars. The binoculars come with an original leather case and should strap, which are both in near-excellent condition. The leather and stitching is all original and intact with minimal surface wear and light signs of aging. The top of the lid is marked “Case No3 Prismatic Binocular Mark I – J.D. Watts & Co. 1916”. The binoculars are a great fit, but they’re a slightly later model dated 1918. They’re also maker marked by A. Kershaw & Son. The binoculars are also marked with model designation No 3 Mk II. The binoculars are in great shape with smooth adjustable focus knobs for each eye. The right eye has a clear, original reticle as well. The optics are crisp and clean with some very minor speckling from age, but very little-to-no cloudiness. There’s some mild edge wear along the metal frame but no major flaws. They also come with an attached shoulder strap, as shown.
