6/9/22 – This is a nice example of an Enfield SMLE III rifle issued to the British military in 1918. The gun is all matching (including the stock) and has the proper British proofs throughout. There is very little finish loss, but there is noticeable spotty oxidation and light brown patina covering most of the metal parts. The stock has noticeable dings, bruises, and scratches throughout. There are three “X’s” scratched into the left side of the stock. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with oxidation in the grooves.
