11/18/22 – This is a very nice example of an Enfield SHT LE III* rifle manufactured by BSA and issued to the British military in 1918. The gun is almost entirely matching except for the cocking knob on the bolt. Import mark on the right side of the receiver. Bolt appears to be force-matched. The stock is numbered just behind the front barrel band and matching. The brass stock disc is intact, but the markings have been crossed-out. The gun has retained most of its finish with minor muzzle wear, some thinning on the bolt handle, and an area of finish loss where it looks like the top of the receiver was slightly ground. There is no major damage to the wood stock, just some minor bruising throughout. The bore has good rifling with very minor pin-pricking throughout.
