11/11/19 – This is an excellent example of an Erfurt-made WW1 era Luger. It most likely survived 2 World Wars in excellent condition – veteran bring back from WW2. We would rate the original finish to be about 96-97%. Most of the finish loss is very minor high-edge holster wear on the muzzle and on the side plate. One interesting detail about the Erfurt luger: there are Erfurt proof stamps on all small parts, even the grip screws. Check it out! All parts are original and matching. The magazine is unnumbered but Erfurt proofed. Most likely an armorers replacement – period correct. Grips are matching numbered and proofed – excellent, and sharp diamonds. The bore is also shiny and strong. The original 1918 dated holster is in minty condition. Great leather and stitching. We can sell the holster alone for $650 and the gun alone for $1850. For luger collectors, a WW1 Luger like this is about as good as they come.
