11/23/22 – This is a nice example of a DWM Navy Luger issued to the Imperial German Navy in 1917. The gun is all matching (except for the firing pin which is un-numbered) and has the proper “Crown M” Imperial Navy acceptance proofs. It has retained roughly 80% of its original bluing. Most of the finish loss is on the chamber, around the side plate, and on both grip straps (where there is also noticeable pin-pricking). Light scratchy wear and minor oxidation along the barrel. Areas of very light pin-pricking throughout. One very light scratch on the side plate. Comes with slightly worn un-numbered wood grips. Comes with a mismatched Navy-style magazine, but we do not believe the wood bottom is original. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with minor pitting throughout.
