7/22/22 – This is a nice example of a DWM Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. It is all matching and has the proper Imperial proofs. It has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. There are areas of somewhat spotty wear on the left side of the frame, on the side plate, and around the muzzle. Thinning along the barrel. There are areas of spotty oxidation and pitting throughout, but most noticeable along the barrel. Pin-pricking on both grip straps. Comes with nice wood grips – the left panel is numbered and matching, the right is un-numbered. Small chip in the left panel. Also comes with a WW2-era magazine. The bore is shiny with strong rifling and some tiny pits around the muzzle end.
