11/19/20 – This is an original 1944 dated holster for a model 1917 revolver, or similar sized revolver. The size of the “toe” or barrel portion of the holster is longer than typical, which is fairly scarce. In WW2 a run of this size holster was made most likely for officers who were able to carry their own pistols in uniform. So more or less a “one size fits all” revolver holster from WW2. Maker stamped and dated on the back leather. All original stitching and leather in tact with no major issues.
