5/19/22 – This is a very nice example of a DWM Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1916. The gun is all matching and has the proper Imperial proofs. There are British proofs throughout, indicating this was likely a British capture. It does come with a matching-numbered magazine, but the numbering is not original. The gun has retained about 97% of its bluing. There is muzzle wear and minor wear on the side plate and side rails. While there isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, there is noticeable freckling on the straps and both sides of the frame. An area of noticeable pitting on the right side of the frame. There are some marks on the left side of the slide that look like they’re from the jaws of a vice. Comes with nice wood grips that are numbered but not matching. The rifling in the bore is a little worn with minor pitting throughout.
