11/30/22 – This is a DWM Gewehr 98 issued to the Imperial German military in 1916. The gun is entirely matching to itself, but the bolt is mismatched. No import marks. Overall, it is in fair condition, but there is noticeable finish loss on the receiver and heavy brown patina and spotty oxidation covering all of the metal parts. Heavy pitting on the butt plate. There are fairly large gouges in the wood on the top edge of the butt stock and upper handguard. The bore has heavy oxidation and pitting throughout.
