3/23/21 – This is a rare chamber-dated 1915 DWM Luger that was originally sold in the commercial market and then reworked for issue to the German police during the Weimar era. The gun is all matching and has commercial “Crown N” proofs. It has a “1920” rework marking on the chamber, an added police seer safety, and and a mostly-peened police unit marking on the front strap. It also comes with a matching Haenel police magazine. When it was reworked, the barrel was replaced to make the gun 9mm and the gun was refinished. It has retained about 94-95% of its bluing. There is wear on the side plate and hints of wear around the muzzle and front edges of the frame. Very minor freckling on the straps. It comes with nice grips. The bore has decent rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
