12/8/21 – This is a nice example of an Erfurt Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1914. The gun is all matching, has Imperial German military proofs on the right side of the slide, and has the proper Erfurt proofs throughout. It has retained roughly 80% of its finish. Most of the finish loss is on the left side of the gun around the side plate. On the side plate, there are a few tiny pits. There is also spotty wear on the right side of the frame. There is minor thinning and small dots of oxidation on both grip straps. Minor muzzle wear. It comes with excellent matching-numbered wood grips and a period-correct magazine that has post-factory numbering (not matching). The bore has strong rifling with frosting in the grooves and some areas of minor pin-pricking.
