6/13/24 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 originally issued to the US military in 1914. There is an “AA” marking on the left side of the frame, indicating it was reworked at the Augusta Arsenal, mostly likely for re-issue during WW2. It has a WW2-era Colt barrel and a parkerized finish. Some minor thinning on the front strap and along the top of the slide. Fitted with WW2 reddish plastic grips and comes with an “S” marked WW2 magazine. Very nice bore with good rifling.
