9/29/23 – This is a very nice Rock Island Arsenal M1903 rifle from 1913. There is a “C 93 P” marking on the underside of the barrel. There is a military cartouche on the left side of the stock, but we cannot quite make out the date. The bluing rates roughly 85%. Wear mostly around the barrel bands, around the rear sight, and on the floor plate. Excellent wood stock – may have been sanded. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
