5/17/23 – This is an early Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1913. It is “United States Property” marked and has the proper military inspection proof. Correct “H P” Colt barrel. Correct early half-moon rear sight. Unfortunately, there is a name scratched into the right side of the frame. The slide release lever has been replaced. The gun itself has lost most of its original finish with obvious spotty wear and noticeable spotty oxidation throughout. There is also an area of small dings in the metal around the muzzle on the underside of the slide. Fitted with fairly worn wood grips and comes with a worn but period-correct two-tone magazine. The bore is slightly worn with pin-pricking throughout.
