1/16/24 – This is a nice example of a Marlin Model 1893 Lever Action Rifle, manufactured in 1903 and chambered in .38-55 WCF. Its original finish rates roughly 75%. The most noticeable sign of wear is the spotty brown patina throughout and areas of pin-pricking and mild discoloration on the receiver. The wood furniture is pretty nice overall, but there are some small gouges here and there and a chip on the left side of the hand guard (against the barrel). The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with minor pitting throughout.
