9/11/24 – This is a great example of a German Army dagger from WW2. The dagger was made by Eickhorn and is maker marked on the reverse of the blade. The blade is in great condition with very little scabbard wear and still visible factory cross-grain. The dagger overall has a really nice dark patina, and the grips have a beautiful orange color to them. The grips have a few minor nicks, that is common with age. The scabbard on this piece is in great condition with no dents and is straight. The hanger on this dagger is also in great shape with just a small amount of wear to the fabric by the top of the hanger. The portepee is not in good shape. the cord is frayed near the end, but it does appear to be original to this dagger.
