5/24/24 – This is an excellent example of a Mauser HSc issued to the German Police in 1944. It has the proper Police “Eagle/L” inspector proof on the trigger guard. The gun itself has retained about 97% of its original finish, with minor muzzle wear and patina. There is minor freckling on the back strap. The well- fitted grips show more wear than the gun itself. The right grip panel has a repair on the back part of the grip that is obvious from the visible “cut” in the grip. Since this is a late war gun, this could have been a factory repair or done sometime post-war. While the slide appears to be crudely numbered and matching, the barrel block is mismatched (number 838). The bore is shiny for the most part with shallow rifling, but still rates an 8 out of 10. Comes with a correct late war magazine.
