9/3/24 – This is an original K98 Dress / Parade bayonet from WW2. The bayonet measures 37.5 cm long with a 25cm long blade. The blade has a shiny dress-style finish with a few light spots of surface oxidation but these are small and few. The edge is clean and overall the blade is excellent. Maker stamped on one side, as shown. The original leather frog is still intact. Natural patina and age on the hand guard and bird’s head pommel. The black grips are in great shape with a diamond pattern. Comes with an original black painted scabbard that retains most of the original finish. There is one minor dent on the edge scabbard, but this is barely visible. The attached leather frog is unmarked and in excellent condition. The leather remains supple and pliable, there is minor wrinkling of the leather on the back. However, this wrinkling is from standard use.
