7/24/23 – Original and great condition. This British P-1864 Snider Breech Loading Rifle is chambered in .577 Snider. These rifles were used very effectively in the Abyssinian Campaign of 1868. Original finish is mostly worn off, but a beautiful metal patina remains, as well as the brass trigger guard and accent fittings. Brass butt plate. Nepalese marking throughout. Stock is solid with honest use wear along with some dings and dents. The hinged breech block with an internal firing pin, operates smoothly and locks up securely when closed. Strong hammer spring locks easily and securely in the firing position. Operates normally. Includes original spike bayonet. The range adjustment on the rear sight is somewhat loose, but still operates. This rifle is an antique so no FFL required.
