5/15/24 – This is an original WW2 era Austo-Hungarian Air Force Pilot / Officer’s Dress Dagger. The dagger comes with an original scabbard and leather frog. The dagger features a brass eagle’s head hilt with attached swivel-style hanger on the beak. The wood handles are in great condition, with one side showing the Emperor’s monogram. The brass “ball and claw” hand guard has light patina but shows great detail. The shiny blade appears to be nickel plated steel, and measures about 24.5cm long. There’s light scabbard rub wear and mild surface scratches throughout but overall the blade is in great condition. The base of the blade is “F.G.” maker stamped. Overall length is 37cm. The scabbard shows natural surface patina but no major issues. The leather frog is excellent with a maker stamp on the backside.
