3/18/24 – This is a nice example of a “bnz 43” Steyr K98 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. It is completely matching, including the stock and handguard (both numbered on the inside). Overall, the metal parts have retained roughly 85% of their original finish with spotty wear mainly on the receiver. While there isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, there is noticeable brown patina covering most of the metal parts and noticeable splotchy discoloration on the receiver and bolt. Some areas of minor pitting along the barrel. The wood stock is in excellent condition but has been lightly sanded. Comes with a fairly worn leather sling that has some tearing. The condition of the boor is poor – the rifling is virtually all worn with pitting throughout.
