5/1/24 – This is an original WWI-dated leather rifle sling for a US rifle like the M1903.
This sling has good condition leather, mild surface wrinkling throughout with signs of natural aging. Some splitting on the slings adjustment holes. The stitching throughout the sling is completely intact and original. The sling does have its maker’s mark, date, and initial inspector’s stamp. However, the inspectors stamp as well as the maker’s mark are barely legible.
