10/26/23 – This is a large black leather Colt / Smith & Wesson Revolver holster with an attached leather gun belt and shoulder harness. The holster is unmarked with normal pliability and natural aging throughout the exterior. No major issues however, and fairly clean interior leather with some initials written inside. The stitching is all tight and original. Brass fixtures. The back tongue of the holster is stamped “1917” with “45” below, and “551 , 6” above. These look like they were added post-factory by a previous owner, but they likely indicate this holster for a m1917 revolver, .45 caliber. The attached leather belt has some internal wrinkling on the leather, but is in great overall condition with fairly clean leather and all original stitching intact. Unmarked on the belt and shoulder harness.
