5/24/18 – This is an US WW1 Trench knife made by A.C. Co in 1917. The interior of the knuckle guard is maker stamped and dated. The metal knuckle guard has some light patina and a few spots of rust, but overall the metal is in good condition. The wood handle is excellent. The blade is spiked at the tip. The tip has corrosion and rust. There is spotting wear throughout the body of the blade, and the base has some rust as well – see photos. The scabbard has spotting wear on the metal ends but this is normal patina. Each end is “M.S.” stamped. The green leather body is “JEWELL 1918” stamped. Guaranteed original.
