4/2/18 – This is an original WW2 wartime production Arisaka Type 30 bayonet. The bayonet is rare wartime production with a wooden scabbard. The scabbard is rare because there weren’t many wood scabbards made. They were produced due to supply shortage towards the end of WW2 – a very cool piece of history. The scabbard is in great shape with no cracks, but there is a minor chip in the wood (see photos). This is a minor flaw and doesn’t go through the wood completely. The blade is 15.5 inches long and shows light signs of sharpening. The blade looks like it has honest use wear and saw some action during WW2. There is discoloration and surface scratching throughout. The wood handle is in great shape. Guaranteed original.
