12/13/17 – This is an original WW1 Springfield Armory bayonet made for the 1903 Springfield rifle, but then was later cut down and re-issued for use with the M1 Garand during WW2. The bayonet is stamped “S A” with a flaming bomb and 1908 date stamp. The reverse side is “US” proof stamped with a serial number underneath. The blade looks unsharpened and overall in great shape, except there’s some light residue on the blade (this can be easily wiped clean). The handle has no cracks or chips. Guaranteed original.
