5/30/18 – This is a Colt M1911A1 that was manufactured in 1942 for use by the American Army during World War II. Original finish rates at about 96-97% but much of the parkerized finish now shows patina/browning. The slide has matching serial numbers to the frame. Correct WB inspector proof on frame, and P proofs on slide and frame. Barrel is Colt 45 Auto marked and there is a 7 on the bottom of the barrel. Correct grips which are “hollow back” – used in 1942. The magazine is marked with an R. Bore shows a little frost but very good overall.
