7/17/17 – This is a very nice FN model 1922. The finish rates about 96%, with most of the wear on either side of the barell. It has waffen 140 acceptance proofs on the slide, frame and barrel. All numbers are matching. Caliber is 7.65mm. Minty bore. The front strap is marked ‘SS Karl Becker’. Of course, this is tough to PROVE as authentic, but it does look to be aged with mostly patina in the engraving. Comes with a document from a Karl Becker, SS reserve officer. Googling his name I found an interesting story about Karl W. Becker, who was a leader of the Hitler Youth. Must have been a smart guy as he “disappeared” from Germany in 1944 and later was found alive in 1996. Cant say this is the same Karl Becker, but it is possible.
