5/12/17 – This is a Colt Frontier Six Shooter – Bisley Model, in .44 – 40 with a 7.5in barrel. Made in 1901, the gun shows about 90-92% blue remaining, with minor thinning in a few spots, and a very nice barrel. The frame shows some evidence of case-hardening, but it has mostly worn away. The frame, trigger guard and butt all have matched serial numbers. Barrel and cylinder are not numbered, which is correct for 1901 production. The revolver has wonderful action and an excellent bore, along with 2-piece hard rubber Colt grips. FFL or C&R required for this one.
