11/21/24 – This is an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. All matching with a completely intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. It comes with an original monopod, a matching-numbered dust cover, and a period-correct leather sling. There is not much actual finish loss, but there is fairly heavy spotty brown patina covering all of the metal parts. There are even spots of light surface rust here and there. The wood furniture has no major damage, just the typical signs of wear and tear. Very nice bore with good rifling.
