11/11/24 – This is a nice MP40 parts kit as made by Steyr for the Nazi military. The parts are all original WW2, but they are mismatched. Listing includes the barreled receiver tube, pistol grip, folding stock, bolt, firing pin, bolt carrier, and magazine. The parts have retained a fair amount of their original finish, but there is general high edge wear and light scratches and handling marks throughout. The left side of the lower of the parts kit has “1943 Bizerte, Tunisa, Africa” lightly scratched into it. We believe this might be referring to where this MP40 might have been captured, which would be Bizerte, Tunisia, Africa. The city of Bizerte was occupied up until the 7th of May, 1943 by the German’s and the Italians.
