11/8/24 – This is an excellent example of an earlier-production Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in April of 1943. All matching with the proper “Eagle 88” military acceptance proofs. It comes as a rig with a very nice 1943-dated hard shell holster, one proper “Eagle 88” magazine, and an early “Eagle 359” Walther magazine. The gun itself has retained about 95% of its original finish. Just very minor high edge and muzzle wear with a hint of thinning and brown patina on the front strap. Fitted with period-correct reddish bakelite grips. The bore has great rifling, but there is very light frosting here and there. De-cocker is functional.
