10/30/24 – This is an excellent example of a rare Walther Mod P.38 sold in the commercial market during WW2. This one is all matching and has the proper “Eagle N” proofs. This gun is rare as only 1,800 were produced. It comes as a rig with an “Eagle 359” marked military magazine and a what looks like a “Waffen 182” marked FN High Power holster (fits the gun well). The gun also comes with the original capture document that lists this gun by serial number with a holster. The gun has retained about 96% of its original finish with very minor high edge and muzzle wear. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are some areas of light spotty oxidation here and there – most noticeable on the left side of the slide, at the front right of the slide, and on the front strap. The bluing has a really nice plum-colored tint to it. Fitted with excellent reddish bakelite grips. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
