10/23/24 – This is a rare example of a WW2 ZF39 6x K98 sniper scope, made by Carl Zeiss. The body of this scope is in excellent condition with only minor thinning of the blued finish and a few minor scratches. The rings holding in the glass do have some loss of their finish. The adjustment and focusing knobs still are functional on this scope. The scope is stamped near the rear eyepiece on the body “Carl Zeiss Jena” as well as “Zielsechs” and the serial numbered “Nr. 18148”. The scope also comes with its correct mounts and screws as well as scope caps. The front scope cap has broken off the leather strap but is still present. The optics on the scope are still crystal clear as can be seen in the photos.
