10/16/24 – This is an excellent example of an AC 45 Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2. This is a GI mismatched gun, put together by an American GI when the Walther factory was liberated. All of the parts are mismatched and in the proper “c and d” serial blocks, correct for this variation. The slide is in the “d” block, a desirable trait for some collectors. It also only has one “Eagle 359” military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never issued. The unique thing about this one is that the frame has no serial number, just one “Eagle 359” proof. The locking block is electro-penciled “672”. Its finish rates about 95% with some wear on the left side of the barrel and one streak of discoloration on the right side of the slide. Fitted with reddish bakelite grips and comes with a rare, end-of-war, “U” marked magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
