10/14/24 – This is a very rare first-variation Zero Series Walther P.38. One of only 1,000 produced, it features the hidden extractor and rectangular firing pin. This particular example has all matching numbers and “Eagle 359” proofs throughout. It comes with a a correct early zero series that is not matching – it is numbered “033”. It is fitted with checkered zero series grips, but they are not numbered (they should be matching) and the “Eagle 359” proofs have been defaced. The entire gun has been re-blued with virtually no bluing loss. However, there are areas of pin-pricking under the bluing along the slide. The bore has good rifling, but there is light pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional.
