10/1/24 – This is an excellent example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is “United States Property” marked, has a cross-canon cartouche, and has the proper “FJA” inspector initials. Proper HS barrel. It has retained about 97% of its original parkerized finish. There are hints of wear around the muzzle and on the high edges, a hint of thinning on the front strap, one very light surface scuff around the left side of the muzzle, and very light freckling along the top of the slide. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips and comes with a proper “R” marked magazine. Mint bore.
